ART EXHIBITION UNTIL 18 MARCH: “Water in all its States”

We are delighted to announce the opening of the exhibition "Water in All Its States", which will run until March 18, 2025, on the 5th floor of the BPR campus.
Marked by an exceptional opening event on Monday, February 17, this exhibition goes beyond a simple showcase; it embodies the emotions and concerns of our middle and high school students regarding the beauty and fragility of water.
Through nearly 500 creations—including drawings, paintings, sculptures, posters, photographs, digital art, and video animations—our young artists invite us to reflect on the importance of water and engage in a dialogue about its preservation, in connection with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 14, which addresses the overexploitation and pollution of the oceans.

Under the guidance of the art department teachers, our students have explored various aspects of water: its emotions, ocean pollution, marine life, and plastic waste.
Students from both academic tracks experimented with different techniques, creating works ranging from realistic drawings to watercolor seascapes, as well as abstract acrylic paintings that evoke the fluidity of water.
Their photographs also capture the beauty and fragility of water in its many forms. Meanwhile, their posters and videos highlight the impact of pollution and climate change, drawing inspiration from diverse artistic movements such as Impressionism, Fauvism, Cubism, and Surrealism.
We encourage you to read the labels next to each artwork to gain a deeper understanding of their message.

To all our FIS students, know that we are very proud of your artistic commitment and the message you convey. Your art bridges the gap between your vision of the world and our urgent need to protect our environment. The urgency is real! Maria Fernanda Espinosa, former President of the United Nations General Assembly, stated: "By 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the sea."
We warmly invite you to discover these creations that touch the heart and mind. Together, let's celebrate the creativity of our youth and engage in an essential conversation about preserving our planet.
A huge bravo to the artists!!!
