HK Police-Led Awareness Session at FIS: Cybercrime, Drugs, and Online Safety

Earlier this month, our school (in the morning at BPR and in the afternoon at TKO) had the honor of hosting a police awareness session, aimed at educating students on critical issues such as technological delinquency, drugs, and inappropriate online behavior.
The police officers addressed several important topics, particularly offenses related to the use of technology. They explained how young people can protect themselves against cybercrime and the dangers of irresponsible internet use.
One of the most concerning topics discussed was the emergence of new drugs on the market, especially "space oil." This substance, which is causing significant concern, was highlighted to warn students about the risks associated with its consumption.
Additionally, the police also warned about the dangers of "naked chats" and inappropriate online interactions, emphasizing the importance of cautious use of digital platforms.

To make this awareness session more interactive, a K-9 unit demonstration was presented. The students had the opportunity to observe the skills of police dogs in drug detection, making the learning experience both captivating and educational.
This initiative aims to encourage young people to adopt responsible behaviors and strengthen communication between parents and children on these sensitive topics. Collaboration between the school and law enforcement is essential to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our youth.
We would like to thank the police and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macao for making this event possible, as well as the teachers and parents who support these efforts.
