A thrilling Olympic sports day filled with emotions

Following in the footsteps of their Olympic athlete counterparts in Paris during the summer edition of the Olympic Games, our 6eme and Y7 students from both campuses and streams (BPR & TKO) gathered at the TKO Sports Ground on Wednesday, March 19.

Faster, higher, and stronger, they threw, jumped, and ran throughout this day of sharing and encounters.

On the schedule for this event: long jump, high jump, five-step jump, vortex throw, shot put, 50m sprint, and 800m race.

Our students demonstrated great competitive spirit and a remarkable ability to push themselves beyond their limits

Under the watchful eyes of Mr. Lassus, who was delighted that our students could hold their own in comparison to the real Paris 2024 Games that he had attended last summer as a native Parisian, all our students pushed themselves to the limit and were able to admire the performances of the best among them.

After rotating through activities every half hour, THE GIRLS' PODIUM, which emerged at the end of the day and was awarded by our beloved principal, was as follows:

  • 1. Gold : Romane Duc, 6E
  • 2. Silver : Emma Li, Y7C
  • 3. Bronze : Chloé Petitpierre, 6E

As for THE BOYS' PODIUM, it was as follows:

  • 1. Gold : Virat Sudharsan, Y7D
  • 2. Silver : Ernest Camerman, 6A
  • 3. Bronze : Mathieu Vallat Wang, 6E

It is important to note that the medal haul was almost exclusively won by Mr. Lassus's students, which is very encouraging and even almost unbelievable given the number of classes he teaches. Bravo to him...

Thanks to Mr. Kopetzky's intervention (to ensure his class appeared in the rankings), here is THE RELAY PODIUM at the end of the day:

  • First place: 6B1
  • Second place: Y7C1
  • Third place: 6A1

See you next year to try and break new records!
