CAS Week 2025 – The Shed

4 June 2025

Our time at The Shed was a whirlwind of Creativity, Activity and Service along with a lot of fun, learning, and adventure! From prepping food and giving back through community outreach to farming and tackling epic adventure hikes, every moment pushed us to grow. The highlight? An unforgettable BBQ at Trio Beach, where laughter and good vibes ruled the day. We learned the power of teamwork, resilience, and stepping out of our comfort zones—lessons we'll carry for life. The Shed wasn’t just a program; it was an adventure we’ll never forget!

Michelle: I signed up because it offered new experiences I could try and improve on, such as kayaking and cooking.

Clement: I learned to care about people. The most meaningful thing is not to waste food.

Gaby: We prepared our BBQ for day four and then went to a wet market to get cheap food for cooking. I had to survey strangers near a public housing estate, which was nerve-wracking because my Cantonese isn’t excellent.

Karis: After the discussion, our teamwork in food prep became more meaningful. Chopping veggies felt like an act of care for residents, not a chore.

Mishka: Giving back to the community is important because it benefits the people. People are very appreciative of what we provide them.

Elidi: I believe that it’s important to support our local community to promote and build a better future.
