Our Students Join Germany’s “Post mit Herz” Christmas Campaign
Christmas is a festivity which brings people together. Whether it is the family gathering, the presents on the 25th or the Christmas carols at night, its spirit of compassing, caring and love invites us to pause and share beautiful moments with loved ones. However, what if you are alone for Christmas?
This is exactly what an initiative called Post mit Herz seeks to address by sending Christmas postcards to lonely people in old people’s homes, shelters as well as other social institutions in Germany. This year, German students across campuses participated in this project by designing and writing postcards to an old people’s home in Hamburg. What a beautiful idea to share the Christmas spirit with less fortunate people. “Frohe Weihnachten” from the German Department!
