Bakesale for Charity – German Department helps organization in Cameroon

12 January 2026

In the spirit of Christmas, the German students across both campuses participated in a social action to support an educational initiative in Cameroon called CAMAAY. As part of the project, students of all forms organized three bake sales on December 9th, 11th and 16th 2025. Besides preparing several bakeries for the FIS community to enjoy, they also created promotional materials to advertise the event and inform about educational as well as political challenges which the supported project in Cameroon is currently facing.

Overall, the students' initiative successfully raised 3,500 HKD for CAMAAY and made it possible to fundraise the school fees for underprivileged children aged between 6 and 14 in communities where children but particularly girls face severe challenges including political conflicts, lack of access to water and denied access to education.

A big "Dankeschön" to all the people who supported this social action!
