Our students are spirited and confident

In our early years (Nursery and reception) at CW and TKO, we will be inviting parents to “stay and play” and discover how our youngest learners learn through the IEYC curriculum.  Parents will also be invited to be “secret readers” to surprise our early years students by reading stories from their home country in their mother tongue.

At FIS, we are fortunate to have such spirited and confident students who strive to reach their true potential. As educators and parents, we recognise that no two children’s learning journeys are the same and that success and achievement look different for every child.

This academic year we are excited to announce the introduction of ‘Student Celebration Assemblies’. Once every half term, we will dedicate an assembly on each campus to celebrate the individual and group achievements of our students across all areas of the curriculum. We hope this special event will bring together our student community and foster the sense of belonging and respect that our students hold for each other.  We will also have termly  Primary Music assemblies where students can choose to play instruments, perform in group songs or dance.  The IS Pimary music teachers will support the students with their submissions and requests.  Please note these assemblies for students to share with students only, due to the capacity of the auditorium. We continue to invite parents to Exit Points.

On Friday, 18th October, student targets for years one to year six will be sent via Google Classroom.

Parents have been invited to information meetings about overnight camps from year three to year six. These are planned by the same company to ensure progression from year three to year six. We have listened to feedback from parents, students, and teachers. This year, we will use Ark Eden; the cost is reduced from last year's camps. For year three, we have planned day camps, not overnight stays.

From year four onwards, our students will be able to engage in many sports teams and play in matches and tournaments. Sports teams are cross stream in FIS Primary in all sports, organised by the IS Primary sports teachers.

Our councillors from St. Johns are on all three of our campuses.
