What is Inktober ?

Jake Parker created Inktober in 2009 as a challenge to improve his inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. It has since grown into a worldwide endeavour with thousands of artists taking on the challenge every year.

The principle: a list of words for each day of October and the challenge of sketching a drawing every day. High school students from both fields participate in Inktober 2024. For example, on October 5th, the word was "Binoculars"

Stimulating the creativity of our students and developing their skills

Challenging ourselves enhances skills. Daily drawing helps improve our artistic abilities and explore new techniques. I also support my students by participating and drawing every day.

We boost our Creativity with prompts and we encourage thinking outside the box and experimenting with different styles and themes. We also establish routine by  committing to a daily practice that fosters discipline . And of course there is a large community engagement. All drawings are posted each day on creART852 (@creart852) • Instagram photos and videos  at our FIS  virtual art gallery,  and shared with followers and beyond .

Participating in Inktober connects us  with other artists, allowing for sharing and collaboration.

It provides a tangible record of our  growth and creativity over the month. Overall, Inktober is a fun and rewarding way to push our artistic boundaries!

Rewarding of the top 3 artists and the "Inktober 2024 Exhibition" from November 11 to November 29, 2024.

It’s a real challenge to draw 31 drawings in 31 days. And this year we decided that the top 3 artists of Inktober 2024 will be awarded in early November, taking into account their skills, creativity and originality. All participants will also showcase their drawings at the "Inktober 2024 Exhibition" from November 11 to November 29, 2024.

Then challenge yourself from 1 to 31 October 2024. 1 drawing a day!  YOU CAN DO IT!
