And off we PIM again!
The Pôle Informatique et Mathématique is back in action for this new school year. Open doors sessions have resumed this week, and the first workshops are being prepared. To stay up to date, simply visit this site (pim.fis.edu.hk) regularly. We will publish all information there as soon as it becomes available.
This beginning of the year also sees the continuation of the Maths en Jeans workshop as well as the Chess Clubs at BPR and TKO.
Maths en jeans
The Maths en Jeans workshop is an opportunity for middle and high school students to collaborate with a university researcher to solve original and ambitious mathematical problems. We are fortunate to welcome Antoine de Saint Germain, a former student of the school and a mathematics researcher at HKU, who regularly assists students in this challenging yet exciting task. If you want to see mathematics in a different light and are not afraid to rack your brains, this workshop is for you! Registrations are open on the PIM website (follow this link). It is recommended to register in groups.
Chess Clubs
As is now customary, the BPR and TKO campuses each have their own chess club where students can come to play for fun and/or practice. Numerous events will be organized throughout the year.
- Chess Club BPR: Wednesday at 12:30 pm in room Pi
- (registration - link to come)
- Chess Club TKO: Wednesday at 12 pm in room S303 (registration)
- Wishing you an excellent new school year. We hope to see many of you at the open houses and workshops !
