CAS Week 2025 – Borneo

Our school trip to Borneo was an unforgettable blend of Creativity, Activity and Service with a large helping of culture, adventure and fun. Students began the journey with an eye-opening visit to a traditional cultural village, learning about local customs and heritage. They then gave back to the community by painting a village hall, leaving a lasting and appreciated bright pink building. The adventure continued with thrilling activities like white water rafting, zip lining, and abseiling, pushing students out of their comfort zones in the best way. After action-packed days, everyone enjoyed cooling off in the hotel’s outdoor pool and watching beautiful sunsets on the beach. We wrapped up the experience with a delicious meal at a local restaurant — the perfect ending to a meaningful and exciting trip.

Ethan: For the service, we painted a community house. It was very tiring but I kept doing it knowing that I’m helping a community that will later use it in the future.
Malo: When we did the community service, it was hot and I had to endure the pain of painting with a roller in the sunshine. I just dealt with it.
Andrew: Today was an amazing day with experiences I will never forget, especially because I learned so much about the coral reef.
Henry: I tried rock climbing, abseiling and zipline. It was scary but it was worth it. I enjoyed the zipline the most because it was very fast and satisfying. I loved it!
Brianna: Throughout this trip, I was very proud of myself because I managed to overcome my fear of heights.
Charlotte: Today we went snorkelling! It was the prettiest ocean I’ve ever seen - it was so clean!
