CAS Week 2025 – Phuket

What an incredible week our students have experienced in Thanyapura, Phuket! The students demonstrated great enthusiasm in all activities throughout the week and discovered a newfound passion for Zumba - perhaps it's time to start our own dance team! After a few days of unpredictable weather, we were blessed with sunshine, making our beach day also a highlight.
One of the biggest challenges for our FIS students was completing the aquathon, which involved a distance swim followed by a 1.5 km run. They received training on transitions and pacing for endurance races, and I hope this encouragement inspires them to seek similar races in Hong Kong!
Other activities included morning runs, spin classes, yoga, volleyball, swimming, tennis cardio, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. During free time, many took refreshing dips in the pool, whether it was raining or sunny.
A memorable moment occurred when students had the opportunity to meet Olympic swimming athlete Kai Taylor, who graciously engaged with them by answering questions and posing for selfies—an inspiring experience that left our students very happy.
We are immensely proud of the students for their exemplary behavior, plus their determination to push and challenge themselves throughout the week. We look forward to seeing many returning students next year!

Ethan: Today was a pretty tough day. We started off in the morning by completing an aquathon, which consisted of a 300 metre swim and a 1.5 kilometre run. The run was the most challenging for me, especially after the swim, however I’m happy I finished it without slowing or stopping.
Emma: At first the muay thai was a bit scary and I was a bit nervous, but the more I learned/did, the more fun it was.
Isabelle: After running, we did a cooking class and we made pad thai. I ate it afterwards and it was delicious.
Maria: I thought after days of intensive exercise the next classes would be easy. I was wrong. It was living hell. This made me realise although I had progressed a lot, I still could push myself to do even more.
Ria: I enjoyed pushing myself and doing lots of challenging activities with my friends. Phuket CAS Week is the best!!!!
Jacqueline: If there’s anything I learnt today, it’s that adrenaline trumps pain!
Devika: Zumba was definitely the highlight of the day. I realised how much I loooove to dance. One workout was hard, but it’s ok because I already feel stronger.
