Day outing at the UNESCO geopark for French stream students

On Friday, October 17, 2025, the students of the 1st-year Specialty in Life and Earth Sciences (SVT) spent the day at the UNESCO Geopark in the Sai Kung area.
The agenda included a visit to the Volcanology Center, a study of the tombolo at Sharp Island, a picnic on the beach, and an examination of volcanic columns.
Through various fieldwork activities, the students were able to combine their on-site observations with the knowledge gained in class to explore the geological history of Hong Kong over the past 160 million years.
