SUMMARY:“On a Feulé chez Mr Sloop” - French Show with English and Cantonese Subtitles
DESCRIPTION:A play written by Bernard Mazeas – Le Roux. Produced and presented by Seelinger Arts Foundation.\nThe Seelinger Arts Foundation\, a charitable organisation\, will present its production On a Feulé chez Mr Sloop this April as part of its mission to promote the performing arts and foster Franco-Chinese cultural dialogue within Hong Kong’s community. \nThe Foundation will offer three public performances at the Fringe Club on 17 and 18 April\, followed by a performance on 25 April at the auditorium of the French International School of Hong Kong\, as part of an educational and cultural partnership between the two institutions. \nOn a Feulé chez Mr Sloop is a one-woman show performed by actress Agnès Seelinger\, who single-handedly brings to life a gallery of colourful characters in a story blending humour\, whimsy\, and a sense of the absurd. \nThe story follows Mr and Mrs Sloop\, a couple who never had children. That emptiness gradually took over their lives\, making their relationship unhappy. Arguments are the only sounds that break the silence — until one evening\, an unexpected event turns their world upside down: a tiger appears in their hallway. The tale is told by their maid\, Alexine\, as she gives testimony in court\, delivering a narrative that is both funny and surprising. \nPractical information\n\nAudience: 8 to 88 years old\nLanguages: French with English and Cantonese surtitles\nFringe Club : Friday 17 April – 7pm & Saturday 18 April – 4pm & 7pm\nFrench International School : Saturday 25 April – 7pm\nBilletterie : https://www.art-mate.net/doc/93863\nTeaser : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKXIdZGUFC8\n\nA cultural partnership for education and cultural outreach\nThe 25 April performance at LFI is part of an educational and cultural partnership between LFI and the Seelinger Arts Foundation. As part of this collaboration\, the Foundation will offer students a free performance\, followed by a discussion about careers in theatre. It will also organise a series of workshops focused on personal development and artistic expression\, designed to help young people build confidence\, creativity\, and public speaking skills. \nThis partnership aims to support students’ arts education and encourage cultural openness through joint initiatives centred on theatre and the performing arts. It reflects a shared commitment to making culture accessible and strengthening ties between educational and cultural stakeholders. \n“Behind this performance\, children see the mime\, while parents grasp the story and the drama.“ \nDownload QR Code\n Print QR Code
