Field trip at UNESCO Geopark

On Tuesday, 24 February 2026, 2A students spent the day in the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark conducting fieldwork on the geological dynamics of the landscape.
To begin, students applied their knowledge of erosion processes to better understand the formation of Bride's Pool waterfall.
They then used their understanding of sedimentary rocks on Ma Shi Chau to explore what Hong Kong's environment might have looked like 290 million years ago.
As a bonus, the class enjoyed a picnic on the beach and discovered evidence of Hong Kong's past tectonic activity!
