Garage Sale on 7 Dec – A Day Of Family Fun

Dear FIS Community,

SAVE THE 7th OF DECEMBER! It's GARAGE SALE day soon! Enjoy a music show, movie screening, food & drinks, and exciting treasure finds—a day filled with fun for the entire family.

10 REASONS TO JOIN OUR GARAGE SALE

• 1- By taking part in the garage sale as a seller you will be able to support Salvation Army : all unsold items at the end of the day can be donated to the Salvation Army ( FISCA will take care of the logistics)
• 2- It will be a great opportunity to buy second hand Christmas gifts. 
• 3- You will get in the Christmas mood with festive food and drinks, the FIS Christmas choir, and a family favorite Christmas movie in the auditorium
• 4- Kids will be able to enjoy face painting and recycled paper making workshop
• 5- The FIS garage sale is also an opportunity to do good. Part of the proceeds will go to give a second life to the school’s unused books by sending then to rural schools in Djibouti.
• 6- There will be a Second-hand uniform sales with Mayaa
• 7- During the day participants will have the opportunity to partake the sustainability tour of school. A great way to learn more about sustainability in general and what FIS does to support it in particular. 
• 8- Partaking in the garage sale is also a great way for the kids to get a sales learning experience, make extra cash and for the community to get together before the Christmas break.
• 9- There will be music concerts by M. Constantini’s students throughout the day.
• 10- A recognition award ceremony will be held in the TKO holistic pedagogical garden to thank Hermès for their generous contribution.

Event Details

• Who: FIS Community (students, parents, teachers, and staff)
• Date: Saturday, 7th December 2024
• Time: 10am – 4pm
• Where: TKO Campus, Ground floor
• Entrance Fee: None! Only $100 for sellers.

For all Attendees:

• Only cash is accepted.
• Bring a bag or two for your new goodies!

For Sellers:

• Set-up: Dedicated self-sale space of 2m x 2m. Bring a floor blanket/fabric on the day to display your items.
• Items to be sold: Select good quality, clean pre-loved items (e.g. clothes, toys, plushies, small homeware accessories, CDs, DVDs, small electronics. No large furniture
• Time slots: Whole day OR 2-hour period as follows: 9:45 - 11:45am / 12 - 2pm / 2:15 - 4:15pm (multiple slots allowed).
• Cost: HK$100 paid in cash on the day. Cost is the same for 2 hours or full day.
• Move-In/Out: 15 minutes allocated to set-up and pack-up.
• Unsold items: Take back or donate to Salvation Army at the end of the day.
• Sales: Cash-only. Prepare small change.

Help needed from Volunteers:

• Assist sellers setting up and packing up.
• Moving donated items at the end of the day.

We collaborate with students, staff, teachers and parents to build community, nurture goodwill and cooperation, share ideas and resources that enrich the student experience, and support the overall mission of the French International School of Hong Kong.
