Our Community in Action: Box of Hope Shares Thanks for 2025 Gift Drive

12 January 2026

We are proud to share an inspiring message of gratitude from Box of Hope, reflecting the meaningful impact of our school community’s ongoing charitable commitment.

Each year, our FS and IS streams collaborate in a school-wide gift collection drive to support Box of Hope’s mission. This partnership embodies our school’s values of empathy, service, and community engagement.

This year’s outreach held special significance as it extended compassionate support to several charities in Tai Po affected by the recent fire, ensuring that essential items reached those most in need.

We are deeply proud of every student, teacher, and family who contributed to this effort. Your kindness helps turn our school’s values into tangible acts of care and hope.

Below is the heartfelt message we received from Box of Hope.

I am extending my sincere appreciation to you, your FIS students, and the entire FIS Hong Kong school community for your valuable support of Box of Hope throughout this year. We are honoured to have shared gifts with over 37,000 children in 2025, with the majority of gifts generously provided by Hong Kong school students.

This year, our efforts in Hong Kong expanded with the addition of additional local charities to our network, and, unfortunately, we experienced an increase in gift requests from our existing charity partners. Thanks to the collective support of the Hong Kong community, we were able to bring moments of joy to more children.

Our outreach includes several charities based in Tai Po, many of which were severely impacted by the recent fire. We successfully delivered gifts to some of these organisations and are currently storing items for those that are focused on providing essential shelter and other vital services. All the remaining hygiene and sanitary products have been sent to the shelters for those in need, and other items, such as stationery and games etc, will be distributed when the respective organisations are ready to receive them.

Please convey our gratitude to your school community for their ongoing support. As always, we welcome any feedback you may have to help us improve upon what we do - and would love to receive any photos or video footage you may have of your gift collections.
