Philippines Marine Research trip – October break

Mr Brady is organizing a week-long marine research trip during the October 2024 holiday (October 28 - 2 November, approximately.)
Coral Reef ecology and marine research in Dumaguete, Negros Oriental, Philippines
Organized together with Atlantis Dive Resorts and Silliman University in Dumaguete, the program encompasses coral reef ecology and conservation, fish identification, and cooperation with a local high school that provides dive training and marine research programs to local students.
A full day trip to Apo Island is included - known for its amazing coral reefs and substantial turtle population!
Where we stay and dive:
Qualifications/requirements
- Open Water diver OR non-certified Open Water divers
- recent dive experience (i.e. dives within the past 12 months);
- Non-Open Water divers will take their Open Water course there and participate in the learning and diving activities;
- FS: 4e-Terminale; IS: Y9-13
Note: this is a marine research trip. We will be active every day, doing 2-3 dives each day along with classroom learning - you will learn an incredible amount about coral reef life.
Provisional schedule:
- Week of October 26th - FIS term break
- Depart HK Tuesday 28 October
- 4 days diving and research
- Return to HK 2 November
