Praise for a dazzling performance : Mirai Durantez and her 233 Decimals of PI

18 March 2025

In a memorable moment during a recent class session, Mirai Durantez, a 6eme student, captivated the attention of all the senior students in the advanced mathematics program by reciting, without error, 233 digits of the number PI (π).

This remarkable feat impressed everyone fortunate enough to witness this demonstration of talent and determination.

π is a famous number for its fundamental role in geometry. It is an irrational number with an infinite number of decimals that follow no logical sequence. The random nature of the decimals makes it a fascinating subject that continues to intrigue and inspire.

This impressive achievement earned Mirai recognition from the World Pi Federation and secured her place in the exclusive Pi 100 Club. https://worldpifederation.org/pi100club.html

Congratulations once again to Mirai, and let’s hope this inspires other students to take on the challenge!
