Report on FIS Board of Directors meeting of September 15, 2025
The Board of Directors (BoD) held its first meeting of the year on Monday, September 15, at our Blue Pool Road campus.
In line with our commitment to a united and sound governance, here is a summary of the discussions, considerations, and votes from the meeting.
The BoD welcomed two new members elected during last May's AGM, as well as Mr. Bertrand Ferret, the new Head of School, to their first Board of Directors meeting. The BoD also welcomed Ms. Johanna Bouyé, Consul for culture, education and science at the French Consulate in Hong Kong, who will now represent the Consulate at these meetings.
The Board began by discussing the schedule of meetings for the current year to set the dates and topics to be covered.
The Board then voted to approve the composition of the Bureau, including the Chairs of the six Board committees.
Reporting on the start of the new academic year, Mr. Ferret highlighted a significant achievement: a nearly 5% increase in student enrollment compared to September 2024. He also provided an implementation update on the strategic plan, detailing the key priorities for the coming months.
The Board then proceeded with a series of technical votes and approved the new internal procurement policy.
In the second part of the meeting, the Chair of the Governance Committee presented the results of the Board's self-assessment conducted last June and the main areas for improvement that emerged from it.
The Board will meet again for its second session on Monday, October 13, 2025.
