The Board of Directors of FIS met for its fourth meeting of the year on Monday, 20th January at our Blue Pool Road campus.
In line with our commitment to United and Sound Governance, here is a summary of the discussions, considerations, and votes from the meeting.
The board invited members from the University Guidance and Counselling department to give an update on the status of our students' University Destinations. They shared a presentation that included information about the status of university recruitments in different markets and their plans for the continued development of their department.
Interim Head of School, Mr. Michael Maniska then presented a management update of the School’s progress in several key areas - including the ongoing status of the compensation and benefits review project and partnership activities in relation to our sustainability initiatives. A series of technical votes were then taken.
With the aim of ensuring the long-term financial stability of the school, the Finance Committee then presented an update on the status of the prospective budget for the 25-26 school year - members were invited to submit additional questions and feedback for further revision.
The board will meet again for its fifth session on Monday, 17th February, 2025.
