Report on the June 23rd Board Meeting

The Board of Directors of FIS convened for its ninth and final meeting of the 2024-2025
school year on Monday, June 23rd. The meeting was held at our Blue Pool Road campus
library. In line with our commitment to United and Sound Governance, here is a summary of
the discussions, considerations, and votes from the meeting.
HoS Michael Maniska and the Senior Leadership team shared a comprehensive school
management update that highlighted several important topics related to the life of the school,
including the final delivery of the Metanoia School-wide sustainability audit, and the
completion of several key policies related to Health and Safety.
Following this, several Board Sub Committees related to - Finance, Compensation &
Benefits Review, Long Term Planning, and Risk and Audit presented year-end summaries of
their activities and progress.
The board then conducted a series of technical votes, including to appoint M. Bertrand
Ferret, the incoming Head of School elect, as the principal representative for the Hong Kong
Education Bureau.
Finally, the board reviewed and approved annual updates to the terms and conditions of the
school enrolment contract.
The board will meet again for its first meeting of the 2025-2026 school year in September of
2025.
