The International Sustainable Development Film Festival (ISDFF) – 2025 Edition, Get ready!

14 April 2025

An Impactful and Innovative Festival

The International Sustainable Development Film Festival (ISDFF) will launch its 4th edition in early May. This festival is not only an educational program focused on media and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), but also an open platform for students across the Asia-Pacific Zone to share their contributions. Additionally, it is a major community event, driven by the AEFE’s network dynamic and significant for our school.

A Grand Celebration Open to the Entire HKFIS Community to Close the Festival

A grand celebration will be held for the closing ceremony of the Festival. It will take place on the TKO campus on Friday, May 30th (4:30 PM - 9:00 PM), and we invite you to join us to celebrate the best films of the Festival competing for the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award, as well as the incredible talent of our young dancers, musicians, artists, and scientists who are coming together to create a festive and memorable evening. Teachers, students, parents, and staff — we’re expecting a big turnout! More information on how to reserve your seats will be shared with you soon.

From Humble Beginnings to International Reach

Created in 2021, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, to offer our students an original way to connect with their host country, the ISDFF has grown significantly. Now supported as a regional project by the AEFE and the French Consulate, featured in the French May, and backed by its partners (Youthtopia, Alliance Française, TASS), and recognized with the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence, this year’s edition will showcase 80 films representing 20 international schools.

A Month of Screenings and Discoveries

Throughout the month of May, these films will be available to watch on a dedicated platform, as well as during public screenings organized in Phnom Penh, Hanoi, Shanghai, and Tokyo! More than 60 jury members are actively working to select the best films and award prizes in each category: Peace, Planet, People, Prosperity, Impact, and Youth. In early May, we will provide you with access to the platform where you can watch these creative, educational films that will take you on a journey through the eyes of over 200 young people (ages 5 to 18) while inspiring you to take action.
