When fairy tales go wrong… on stage with the CM1 students from TKO

When fairy tales fall apart… step onto the stage!
This year, the three CM1 classes from TKO joined forces for a vibrant theatrical project, guided by the passionate teaching artist Ms. Gaëlle Gogneau. The theme? "The School of Twisted Tales" , an original and humorous play that enchanted both children and adults alike.
In this very special school, students are the descendants of famous fairy tale heroes. They all dream of shining bright at the annual "Talent Show" . But… things don’t go quite as planned! Talents don’t always show up, and the children struggle to live up to their legendary parents. Fortunately, they have plenty of humor and self-deprecation — making the show all the more endearing.
Throughout the project, the students learned the basics of stage performance: positioning and movement on stage, speaking with confidence, and above all, embodying their characters with conviction. The show was also an opportunity to practice multiple languages: the script blended French and English, while the final number was sung in Mandarin, bringing all three classes together in a deeply emotional moment. This project allowed students to develop creativity, self-confidence, and, most importantly, to experience a beautiful shared adventure.
Bravo to all our young actors, many thanks to Ms. Gogneau for her inspiring guidance, and a big thank you to our wonderful teachers for this wonderful performance!
