When Imagination Becomes Expression: The Charity Art Exhibition of Our Terminale Arts Students

9 June 2026

On the occasion of the annual Arts speciality exhibition, a wonderful artistic celebration is taking place at the French International School of Hong Kong. We are immensely proud to showcase the talent of our students!

Until 18 June 2026, our 13 Terminale students are exhibiting their works on the Blue Pool Road campus (5th floor). Titled "When Imagination Becomes Expression," this exhibition is far more than just an art event, it is a celebration of the boldness, vulnerability, and raw talent of young adults on the verge of spreading their wings

An Unforgettable Opening Night

We are delighted to share that the opening ceremony, held on Thursday 4 June, was a tremendous success, attended by the artists, their families, and our school community. There was emotion, pride, and — as always — a few tears from their teacher and mentor, Ms Bezançon. That moment will remain etched in our memories as a solemn recognition of their hard work.

This year, the exhibition highlights two major projects that demonstrate the audacity and maturity of our students:

  • Upcycled Metamorphosis – "Dream Big": A rediscovery of the prestigious outfits created for the FIS Gala, made from 80% recycled materials. A striking proof that true luxury lies in the creative act.
  • Jules Verne & AI Legacy: A fascinating project navigating between tradition and futurism on a steampunk theme. Each student created a drawing or painting that served as a starting point to guide an artificial intelligence. A beautiful echo of Jules Verne's pioneering spirit, using the technology of his time to push the boundaries of imagination.

Art as an Act of Solidarity

These young talents don't just create — they give back. A fundraiser is being organised around 13 original illustrations inspired by Jules Verne. Each piece is offered at a minimum price of 888 HKD, reflecting the passionate work of its creator.

All proceeds will be donated to Make It Work HK (supported by the French Chamber Foundation), an association that helps low-income workers in Hong Kong by providing them with training and future-focused skills.

Buying an illustration is not just acquiring a piece of art. It is offering a chance. It is telling a student: your art has power.

If you wish to purchase one of the above works, please contact the organising team: Elijah Fung – [email protected] | Isabelle Bezançon – [email protected]

Purchased works can be collected from 19 to 23 June (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM) at Blue Pool Road

A huge BRAVO to our 13 artists: V. Bergonzi, A. Duhem, E. Foster, L. Fumoux, G. Giron, V. Groenendijk, N. Marchewhka, C. Marchesseau, E. Mustafa, M. Pham, E. Scola, N. Segura, and J. Warion.
