Say No to Bullying

26 November 2024

From 11-15 November, FIS celebrated Inclusion Week.

Our priority is the physical and mental well-being of our students. To achieve this, we are committed to an ongoing process of training and ensuring all our colleagues are up-to-date. On the National Day Against Bullying, we worked on the procedures to address bullying and harassment situations. Together, we share the same concerns: the well-being and success of our students.

Our various services punctuated this week with awareness, prevention, and welcome sessions.

At the Library

The students were introduced to the issue through a selection of books available in the libraries of our two campuses: BPR and TKO. These enriching readings nourish their thinking and contribute to shaping responsible and humanistic citizens of tomorrow.

Three lists of book recommendations have been prepared by our Librarians for you:

  • Recommendation reading list for middle school students (French & English) >> View List
  • Recommendation reading list for high school students (French & English) >> View List
  • Recommendation reading list for parents (in French only) >> View list

A slogan and poster workshop was set up during the week. The most accomplished posters will be entered into the French national "Say No to Bullying" 2025 competition.

At the Health Department

Additionally, awareness workshops led by the health team members enabled students to collaborate on these topics in class. Our psychologist also participated in this week by providing a listening point and open-door sessions for a day on both campuses.

At Vie Scolaire

At Vie Scolaire, an awareness session was organized to support the team in a comprehensive understanding of our students with special needs and to reiterate the appropriate behaviors to follow.

Finally, a 'let's all wear blue day' was organized at the Blue Pool Road and TKO campuses as a sign of support for inclusion and togetherness.

We hope that our initiatives will help turn our students into true actors of inclusion et school, ambassadors of togetherness, and conscious citizens.
