Writing competition: The game of imaginary professions
Illustration of Clémentine Doumenc CM2G for "le Réalisateur de Rêves"
I had the pleasure of organizing a writing contest for the CM1 and CM2 classes on the theme of professions that do not exist. Students were invited to imagine jobs close to reality or completely absurd in order to explore their creativity and dream of original and extravagant professions. Each story overflowed with inventiveness, revealing some thrilling scenarios!
At the end of the contest, a jury composed of teachers, librarians, and educational staff selected and rewarded several winners:
- Naël Plisson (CM2F) with "The weather master" (“le Changeur de Météo”)
- Clémentine Doumenc (CM2G) with "The dream maker" (“le Réalisateur de Rêves”)
- Clémence Bourgeois (CM2F) with "The misfortune merchant" (“le Marchand de Malheur”)
- Ines Mckenzie (CM1G) with "The push toys coach" (“le Coach des Doudous”)
- Cassidy Barzman (CM1G) with "The rainbow maker" (“le Fabricant d’Arc-en-ciel”)
- Victoria Masson Foussier (CM1G) with "The little brother eraser" (“l’Effaceur de Petit Frère”)
- Beryl Watine (CM1F) with "The cookie gardener" (“le Jardinier de Cookies”)
- Garance Leplingard Quenette (CM1E) with "The kisses letter carrier" (“le Facteur de lettres à Bisous”)
This competition was an opportunity for students to express their imagination and develop their writing skills. Beyond the competition, I am proud of their enthusiasm, their overflowing imagination, their sensitivity, and the excitement that this project has generated.
